This new blogger chuffed to make Iain Dale's list

Chuffed to be included in Iain Dale's top 100 which he has just published this morning.

I only dipped my toe in the world of blog relatively recently, so was delighted to be number 73 in Iain's first ever list of the top 100 Labour bloggers.

Iain is a would-be Conservative MP who was one of the first to recognise the potential of this new form of communicating with people. He works hard to promote blogging on the mainstream media and I thank him for including me in his listings.

As Iain says, his list, prepared for his book on blogging, is subjective, though based on ten criteria he has set.

Good to see I've scraped in above Government Minister David Miliband. But then, he has bigger fish to fry!

You've been going since January, which is a while. I've been going since late July and I would be disappointed to be 76 (even though the general quality of Tory bloggers is better). Nevertheless, congratulations on your result.

hi praguetory: i'll take that as a compliment, thanks.

yes, i started my weblog in january, but was only ticking over until last month and still not properly "launched" as such.

i'm also not that interested in being a "national" blog, would rather reach more of the 6,000 people I represent as a local councillor, but it's always tempting to comment on more national issues.

you're right, i'd prob also be disappointed to be 76 on Iain's list, but chuffed i made 73!

you may or may not be right on the quality of tory bloggers, but maybe we're both a tad biased and i'm sure we're both better than the libdems!

i hadn't expected to make Iain's top 100 Labour bloggers, as until tonight, he insisted on listing me as "Miscellaneous" in his blogroll rather than "Labour", so delighted to have been promoted.

no doubt you will make the top three Tory bloggers. i'll be looking out for you.

hey ho.

Nice to hear you'll be looking out for my result. As I comment frequently on Labour blogs I am sure you will not be the only one looking on with interest ;-) . Laters - praguetory.
