Tory flip-flops on Grammar Schools...

Just a day after the Tory Shadow Minister for Education launched his ideological attack on Grammar Schools, exposing their failure to help disadvantaged children, he has been forced by the Tory Old Guard to say he will do all he can to protect er, Grammar Schools.

Bring on the flip-flops!

Hello Phil.

Lovely to have seen you looking so in form today at the County Council meeting.

I went purposely to view the DVD which accompanied the report by the Director of Children's Services to Lincolnshire County Council.

In my opinion it really was a superb presentation that shows how the standard of education in Lincolnshire can prosper if the work is put in.

I personally think that David Cameron is right on Grammar Schools and can't wait for Lincoln to get one of England's next Academies.

As David Willetts has already pointed out - they are the key to social mobility!

Hi Geoffrey,

Hope you enjoyed the entertainment at county offices today.

The DVD showing how Lincolnshire is adopting the Every Child Matters agenda was fine as far as it goes.

But I'm sure you'd agree with me that it's action that we need, not warm words.
