Body in river: three men helping police

I understand the body of a young man has been recovered from the River Welland at Spalding this morning. Lincolnshire Police are treating the death as "suspicious" and three men are helping police with their enquiries.

Two youths have been charged with murder after a man was found dead in a Lincolnshire river.

The body of 25-year-old Toby Atkin from Spalding was found in the town's River Welland in the early hours of Friday.

The two youths from the Spalding area have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before Grantham magistrates on Monday.

A third teenager arrested in connection with the death has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
