Here's a very interesting story on the front page of today's Oxford Mail Mr Editor:
BORIS - I TOOK COCAINE AND SMOKED A FEW JOINTS BUT I'M ANTI DRUGS NOW:
The colourful Conservative MP Boris Johnson has today admitted smoking cannabis and snorting cocaine but has also stated that he is "anti-drugs now.".
In a frank interview with this month's GQ magazine Mr Johnson says: "I tried it (cocaine) at university and I remember it vividly."
"It achieved no pharnacological, psychotropic or any other effect whatsoever."
Mr Johnson had previously been quoted on the TV show Have I Got News For You that he was once given cocaine but sneezed "so it did not go up my nose."
However, in the GQ interview, asked by Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan whether some powder crept into his nose "despite the sneeze" Mr Johnson replied "It must have done, yes, but it didn't do much for me I can tell you."
A spokesman for David Cameron said last night: "We have nothing further to add. It's exactly as it was. No comment on his life before going into politics."
