BREAKING NEWS: Prescott moved to high dependency unit - pneumonia confirmed.

Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott has pneumonia and has been moved to a high dependency unit after he was admitted to hospital for tests after feeling unwell on the weekend.

In a statement, Mr Prescott's spokesman said tonight:

The Deputy Prime Minister's Office has tonight confirmed that the Deputy Prime Minister is suffering from pneumonia.

He has been moved to a high-dependency unit, not because of a deterioration in his condition but so that his condition can be monitored more closely.

Too many pies, too much porn. I can't say I wish him well, for a deplore sexual harassment in all its forms.

A cynic might say he has been high dependency for years now. I do hope he doesn't catch MRSA like over 20000 other poor sods every year who are victims of the NHS filth which his Government is responsible for.

On a positive note, it looks like we are going to save a fortune on the pension.

Pitty the fat twat didn't have to spend five hours on a trolley like some other NHS patients because then he might have been able to see at first hand how the NHS in such a crisis thanks to Ms Patronising Hew-shit!

I am very sympathetic to the medical staff who have to wait for their meagre pay rise whilst that thick adulterous piece of shit takes up an honest tax paying persons NHS bedspace and looks forward to his gross pension.

Prezza is already in hot trouble after alleged affairs with Rosie Winterton and Tracey Temple were exposed in the last year and is still the subject of a police investigation for corruption and sexual harrassment.

Think of all the money we would save if he kicked the bucket!

It is always sad to read that someone has been taken ill. I deplore any comment that gloats on someones misfortune in terms of health. However, I am sure that he will make a full recovery as UCH has an excellent reputation as evidenced by the Dr Foster guide.

The last few years have been difficult for John Prescott. However, I voted for him as Deputy and despite the difficulties believe that I did the right thing. He has always been a force for good in the Labour Party and yes, his reputation as a womaniser was known. (I totally disapprove morally of such behaviour but do not sit in judgement of two willing adults who have different standards). Mr Prescott has always borne the insults directed at him well. Some insults have been incorrect and he has been an easy target for some of the right wing press who are unable to accept a Labour Government. Many of these insults have been appalling and rather than damage the labour party they have had the opposite effect. I do not admire any person who makes fun of someone's background.

Civil servants are well protected in terms of protection against harassment of any type. No such complaints have ever been made against the DPM.

I wish him a speedy recovery.

Well said Brynley. One is only attracted to individuals who are reasonable, have a modicum of intellect, are impartial, who are not rude or bigoted and with whom one can disagree intellectually without stooping to personal insults. Those who stoop to insult lack all the qualities one seeks in relationships.

I heard on the news that he's in a pie dependency unit, is that right?

The problem being Liz that many of the women he is known to have been with were his office juniors, raising issues of exploitation. His use of Gov't buildings as knocking shops is hardly ethical. And several of the women have claimed to be less that willing.

Still if you are prepared to accept low standards...

He can't have long left, someone of that weight and that age. The British pie industry braces itself...
