If you've been kind enough to nominate me for Iain Dale's Top Blogs, he may have ruled your vote null and void...
Iain has emailed me to say that a number of people have nominated my blog only - when he is looking for a minimum of ten and a maximum of 20.
Seems a bit unfair to me: you have to be a blog anorak to know more than a few political blogsites...
But I’m not giving up. You can vote again up to midnight on Wednesday. So here's my slate of 20 of my favourites. Please cut and paste them into an email - and amend to your own taste before sending to:
Iain@iaindale.com
Please put “Top 20” in subject box.
Thanks...Well, I suppose that makes me a blog anorak...!

UPDATE: A few excellent sites were inevitably squeezed out, but one that slipped away by mistake was Luke Akehurst...he should be in at number 5...

Im not on your list? If I was it would hve a little more variety!
Amused to see that Phil does not include the only other Labour blogger in south Lincs, Rob Shorrock.
His Grantham-based blog can be amusing and I often disagree with him strongly (over Iraq, for example) but why has Phil given him the cold shoulder?
15th? I'm clearly slipping!
brynley
didn't realise rob was still blogging...must check him out...
we certainly could do with more Lincs bloggers of all persuasions!
Kerron
i can assure you the judges had a very difficult time coming to their results and it was all done with scrupulous fairness.
btw, have you put me on your blogroll yet??
Phil, you say:
"... you have to be a blog anorak to know more than a few political blogsites...
"... So here's my slate of 20 of my favourites."
So you ARE a blog anorak, then?
I've sent him several. I hope it's enough.
Mark
thanks. currently trawling through 300 UK political blogs. so yes, definitely a blog anorak...

brynley:
have now checked out rob shorrock's site and as i thought, it's all gone quiet...
only two posts since mid-June and none for the past month.
more activity needed to make top 20...
Well, OK the last posting on Rob Shorrock's blog was July 19th.
But it is very funny and very well informed about the inner workings of South Kesteven District Council and I'm surprised nobody picked it up.
i used to enjoy rob's posts when he was active - as you say, he brought to life the inner workings - and highlighted the value of blogs by posting the stories that would never appear in the Mercury or the Local.
he should certainly be on my blogroll and hope he comes back re-energised...
consider it done.
