Conway lectures MPs on expenses...
Derek Conway, the Tory MP exposed for caught wrongly paying his sons public money has just had the bare-faced cheek to speak in the House of Commons...in the debate on MPs expenses...!!
As you've noticed, I'm not standing for re-election to the county council after not meeting the deadline to get my completed nomination papers in - not perhaps my finest hour.
Unlike Derek Conway who was caught wrongly taking public money, I'm not complaining that I've been hard done by.
I stand down after eight years as local county councillor with my head held high and my integrity intact.
No more of a brass neck then Purnell telling me I'm a work shy cheat for talking benefits.
ReplyDeleteWhat's it like to be a has been Phil?
