Lincs no longer the baddest council...
Now the Daily Mirror has found a new contender for the title in Lib-Dem Southwark Borough in London...
The Mirror were spot on with this one - although they failed to mention the Lib Dem Mayor of Southwark - Cllr Bob Skelly, when asked in a public meeting what what he was doing to address the performance of Caribbean schoolboys. He replied: "Every evening I go out in a big van and kidnap some Caribbean boys. I berate them about their lack of commitment to education and give them a booster lesson in English." The Tories and Libs voted for Skelly, Labour continues to oppose his appointment, which anywhere, but particularly in a borough as diverse as Southwark, is an absolute disgrace!
ReplyDeleteSouthwark's executive is frankly an embarrassment - wish that it was not so, but sadly I think we have knocked Lincolnshire off the top spot!
